If you wish to take part in a more sophisticated weekend experience then you’ll want to purchase passes to the Vero Beach Wine and Film Festival from June 6-9, 2019. This event is hosted by legendary film critique Jeffrey Lyons, who will debut the third installment of the festival labeled as “The New Summer Sundance” by the Huffington Post. However, if you wish to experience a more relaxed event filled with delicious food then mark your calendars for the Sebastian Lionfish Fest on June 23, 2019 (Raindate June 30). During this festival you will be able to taste delectably prepared lionfish, while learning how to prepare the fish safely at home to enjoy. The Lionfish tourney and cook-off will take place at Capt. On June 15, 2019, The McKee Botanical Gardens will host its 15th annual Waterlily Celebration. Being the largest waterlily collection in Florida, it annually mesmerizes children and adults alike through its showcase of over 500 colorful blooms. More information on the event is listed here.
Elevate your 4th of July experience with celebrations happening in both Vero Beach and Sebastian. Riverside Park will host Vero Beach Independence Day from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm that will have a variety of food trucks, with beer and wine being served. This event will also include 3 bands and a children’s’ area with a bounce house. The fireworks will begin at dusk. Meanwhile, the Sebastian Freedom Festival begins with a parade starting at 8:30 am starting from Indian River Drive to Riverview Park. The park will have all day festivities with crafts, food, music, and fireworks beginning at dusk.
